महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-133, verse-14

सर्वथा स्त्री न हन्तव्या सर्वसत्त्वेषु युध्यता ।
नित्यं गोब्राह्मणे स्वस्ति योद्धव्यं च तदर्थतः ॥१४॥
14. sarvathā strī na hantavyā sarvasattveṣu yudhyatā ,
nityaṁ gobrāhmaṇe svasti yoddhavyaṁ ca tadarthataḥ.

14. In no circumstances should a woman be killed by any combatant among all beings. Always, there should be welfare (svasti) for cows and Brahmins, and one should fight for their protection.
