सूत उवाच ।
सहस्राणि बहून्यस्मिन्प्रयुतान्यर्बुदानि च ।
न शक्यं परिसंख्यातुं बहुत्वाद्वेदवित्तम ॥२॥

na śakyaṁ parisaṁkhyātuṁ bahutvādvedavittama.

2. Sūta said: "O most excellent knower of the Vedas, there were many thousands, tens of thousands, and hundreds of millions [of snakes present] in this [sacrifice]; it is not possible to enumerate them due to their immense number."

2. סוּטַה אמר, הו המשכיל מכל בקיאי הוֵדוֹת, היו כאן אלפים רבים, מיליונים ועשרות מיליונים. אי אפשר לספור אותם בגלל ריבוים.
