महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-34, verse-3

दैवेनोपहतो राजन्यो भवेदिह पूरुषः ।
स दैवमेवाश्रयते नान्यत्तत्र परायणम् ॥३॥
3. daivenopahato rājanyo bhavediha pūruṣaḥ ,
sa daivamevāśrayate nānyattatra parāyaṇam.
3. daivena upahataḥ rājan yaḥ bhavet iha pūruṣaḥ
saḥ daivam eva āśrayate na anyat tatra parāyaṇam
3. O King, any individual who is afflicted by destiny in this world will certainly take refuge in destiny alone; there is no other ultimate resort in such a situation.
