महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-225, verse-15

पावकश्चापि तं दावं दग्ध्वा समृगपक्षिणम् ।
अहानि पञ्च चैकं च विरराम सुतर्पितः ॥१५॥
15. pāvakaścāpi taṁ dāvaṁ dagdhvā samṛgapakṣiṇam ,
ahāni pañca caikaṁ ca virarāma sutarpitaḥ.
15. pāvakaḥ ca api tam dāvam dagdhvā sa-mṛga-pakṣiṇam
ahāni pañca ca ekam ca virarāma su-tarpitaḥ
15. And the Fire (pāvaka), having completely burned that forest (dāva) along with its deer and birds, rested for six days, fully satisfied.
