महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-222, verse-5

जरितोवाच ।
अहं वै श्येनमायान्तमद्राक्षं बिलमन्तिकात् ।
संचरन्तं समादाय जहाराखुं बिलाद्बली ॥५॥
5. jaritovāca ,
ahaṁ vai śyenamāyāntamadrākṣaṁ bilamantikāt ,
saṁcarantaṁ samādāya jahārākhuṁ bilādbalī.
5. jaritā uvāca | aham vai śyenam āyāntam adrākṣam bilam
antikāt | saṃcarantam samādāya jahāra ākhum bilāt balī
5. Jaritā said, "Indeed, I saw the hawk approaching near the burrow. The powerful (hawk), as it moved, seized the mouse, which was moving about, and carried it away from the burrow."
