महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-217, verse-13

शरैरभ्याहतानां च दह्यतां च वनौकसाम् ।
विरावः श्रूयते ह स्म समुद्रस्येव मथ्यतः ॥१३॥
13. śarairabhyāhatānāṁ ca dahyatāṁ ca vanaukasām ,
virāvaḥ śrūyate ha sma samudrasyeva mathyataḥ.
13. śaraiḥ abhyāhatānām ca dahyatām ca vanaukasām
virāvaḥ śrūyate ha sma samudrasya iva mathyataḥ
13. Indeed, the cries of the forest creatures, who were struck by arrows and burning, were heard like the churning sound of the ocean.
