महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-190, verse-12

प्रदक्षिणं तौ प्रगृहीतपाणी समानयामास स वेदपारगः ।
ततोऽभ्यनुज्ञाय तमाजिशोभिनं पुरोहितो राजगृहाद्विनिर्ययौ ॥१२॥
12. pradakṣiṇaṁ tau pragṛhītapāṇī; samānayāmāsa sa vedapāragaḥ ,
tato'bhyanujñāya tamājiśobhinaṁ; purohito rājagṛhādviniryayau.

12. That expert in the Vedas led the couple, who had joined hands, in a clockwise circumambulation. Then, having given his blessing to Yudhishthira, who was resplendent in battle, the family priest departed from the king's house.
