महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-162, verse-17

सहस्रांशुं ततो विप्रः कृताञ्जलिरुपस्थितः ।
वसिष्ठोऽहमिति प्रीत्या स चात्मानं न्यवेदयत् ॥१७॥
17. sahasrāṁśuṁ tato vipraḥ kṛtāñjalirupasthitaḥ ,
vasiṣṭho'hamiti prītyā sa cātmānaṁ nyavedayat.
17. sahasrāṃśum tataḥ vipraḥ kṛtāñjaliḥ upasthitaḥ
vasiṣṭhaḥ aham iti prītyā sa ca ātmānaṃ nyavedayat
17. Then the brahmin, with folded hands, approached the thousand-rayed one. He joyfully introduced himself, saying, "I am Vasiṣṭha."
