महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-162, verse-11

ततस्तस्मिन्गिरिवरे शुचिर्भूत्वा कृताञ्जलिः ।
आरिराधयिषुः सूर्यं तस्थावूर्ध्वभुजः क्षितौ ॥११॥
11. tatastasmingirivare śucirbhūtvā kṛtāñjaliḥ ,
ārirādhayiṣuḥ sūryaṁ tasthāvūrdhvabhujaḥ kṣitau.
11. tataḥ tasmin girivare śuciḥ bhūtvā kṛtāñjaliḥ
ārirādhayiṣuḥ sūryam tasthau ūrdhvabhujaḥ kṣitau
11. Then, on that excellent mountain, having purified himself and made an añjali (gesture of reverence), he stood on the ground with his arms raised, desiring to worship the sun.
