महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-128, verse-14

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
एवमुक्तस्तु तं द्रोणो मोक्षयामास भारत ।
सत्कृत्य चैनं प्रीतात्मा राज्यार्धं प्रत्यपादयत् ॥१४॥
14. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
evamuktastu taṁ droṇo mokṣayāmāsa bhārata ,
satkṛtya cainaṁ prītātmā rājyārdhaṁ pratyapādayat.
14. vaiśampāyana uvāca | evam uktaḥ tu tam droṇaḥ mokṣayāmāsa
bhārata | satkṛtya ca enam prītātmā rājyārdham pratyapādayat
14. Vaiśampāyana said: "O Bhārata, after being addressed in this manner, Droṇa released him. And with a delighted heart (prītātmā), having honored him, he bestowed half of the kingdom."
