महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-128, verse-7

प्रमृद्य तरसा राष्ट्रं पुरं ते मृदितं मया ।
प्राप्य जीवन्रिपुवशं सखिपूर्वं किमिष्यते ॥७॥
7. pramṛdya tarasā rāṣṭraṁ puraṁ te mṛditaṁ mayā ,
prāpya jīvanripuvaśaṁ sakhipūrvaṁ kimiṣyate.

prāpya jīvan ripuvaśam sakhipūrvaṃ kim iṣyate
7. I have forcibly crushed your kingdom and city. Now that you are living under the sway of your enemy, what is the point of desiring a former friendship (sakhya)?
