महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-104, verse-20

शक्तिं तस्मै ददौ शक्रः विस्मितो वाक्यमब्रवीत् ।
देवासुरमनुष्याणां गन्धर्वोरगरक्षसाम् ।
यस्मै क्षेप्स्यसि रुष्टः सन्सोऽनया न भविष्यति ॥२०॥
20. śaktiṁ tasmai dadau śakraḥ vismito vākyamabravīt ,
devāsuramanuṣyāṇāṁ gandharvoragarakṣasām ,
yasmai kṣepsyasi ruṣṭaḥ sanso'nayā na bhaviṣyati.

20. Indra (Śakra), astonished, gave him (Karna) the `śakti` weapon and spoke (vākyam abravīt) these words: 'Among gods, asuras, and humans (manuṣyāṇām), as well as gandharvas, serpent-beings (uragas), and rākṣasas – whoever you cast this (weapon) at when you are enraged, that one will certainly not exist (bhaviṣyati) due to it.'
