Indeed, this pure consciousness (cit-mātra) manifests as both sensation (vedanā) and the nature of non-sensation (avedanākārā), and further, as both vibration (spanda) and the nature of non-vibration (aspandātma). When that delusion (bhrānti) ceases, this (consciousness) truly becomes the tranquil (śānta) Self (ātman), utterly pure (nirmalam).
