योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-95, verse-3

अज्ञानं शिथिलीभूतमेवं नष्टं विदुर्बुधाः ।
न नाशेन विनोदेति पूर्वसंस्थानविच्युतिः ॥ ३ ॥
ajñānaṃ śithilībhūtamevaṃ naṣṭaṃ vidurbudhāḥ ,
na nāśena vinodeti pūrvasaṃsthānavicyutiḥ 3
3. ajñānam śithilībhūtam evam naṣṭam viduḥ budhāḥ .
na nāśena vinā ut eti pūrvasaṃsthānavicyutiḥ
3. budhāḥ evam śithilībhūtam ajñānam naṣṭam viduḥ .
nāśena vinā pūrvasaṃsthānavicyutiḥ na ut eti
3. The wise understand that ignorance (ajñāna), thus weakened, is considered destroyed. For, a deviation from its former state does not arise without this destruction.
