गुणान्वितचिकित्सार्थं मन्त्रोऽयं तु मयोच्यते ।
ब्रह्मोवाच ।
हिमाद्रेरुत्तरे पार्श्वे कर्कटी नाम राक्षसी ॥ १३ ॥

गुणान्वितचिकित्सार्थम् अयम् मन्त्रः तु मया उच्यतेब्रह्मा उवाचहिमाद्रेः उत्तरे पार्श्वे कर्कटी नाम राक्षसी (अस्ति)।

Indeed, this incantation (mantra) for the treatment of virtuous individuals is being recited by me. Brahmā said: 'On the northern side of the Himālayas resides an ogress named Karkaṭī.'
