योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-2, chapter-15, verse-1

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
संतोषो हि परं श्रेयः संतोषः सुखमुच्यते संतुष्टः परमभ्येति विश्राममरिसूदन ॥ १ ॥
śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca ,
saṃtoṣo hi paraṃ śreyaḥ saṃtoṣaḥ sukhamucyate saṃtuṣṭaḥ paramabhyeti viśrāmamarisūdana 1
1. śrī vasiṣṭha uvāca | santoṣaḥ hi param śreyaḥ santoṣaḥ sukham
ucyate santuṣṭaḥ param abhyeti viśrāmam arisūdana || 1 ||
1. śrī vasiṣṭha uvāca he arisūdana,
santoṣaḥ hi param śreyaḥ santoṣaḥ sukham ucyate santuṣṭaḥ param viśrāmam abhyeti 1
1. Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Contentment (santoṣa) is indeed the supreme good; contentment is declared to be happiness. A contented person attains ultimate tranquility (viśrāma), O destroyer of enemies.
