योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-31, verse-10

अपमृष्टमलोदेति क्षालनेनामृतद्युतिः ।
मनश्चन्द्रमसः केन तेन कामकलङ्कितात् ॥ १० ॥
apamṛṣṭamalodeti kṣālanenāmṛtadyutiḥ ,
manaścandramasaḥ kena tena kāmakalaṅkitāt 10
10. apamṛṣṭamalaḥ udeti kṣālanena amṛtadyutiḥ
manaḥ candramasaḥ kena tena kāmakalaṅkitāt
10. amṛtadyutiḥ apamṛṣṭamalaḥ kṣālanena udeti manaḥ
kāmakalaṅkitāt candramasaḥ tena kena [śudhyati]
10. The moon (amṛtadyutiḥ) emerges, its impurities removed by cleansing. By what means, then, can the mind (manaḥ) be purified from the stains of desire (kāma), as if it were the moon (candramasaḥ)?
