वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-97, verse-16

स तेषां निश्चयं ज्ञात्वा कृतान्तं च निरीक्ष्यच ।
पौराणां दृढभक्तिं च बाढमित्येव सो ऽब्रवीत् ॥१६॥
16. sa teṣāṃ niścayaṃ jñātvā kṛtāntaṃ ca nirīkṣyaca ,
paurāṇāṃ dṛḍhabhaktiṃ ca bāḍhamityeva so'bravīt.

paurāṇām dṛḍhabhaktim ca bāḍham iti eva saḥ abravīt

16. Having understood their firm resolve, and observing both fate (kṛtānta) and the unwavering devotion of the citizens, he simply said, "Indeed."
