वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-49, verse-11

भविष्यति दृढं रामो दुःखप्रायो ऽल्पसौख्यवान् ।
त्वां चैव मैथिलीं चैव शत्रुघ्नभरतौ तथा ।
संत्यजिष्यति धर्मात्मा कालेन महता महान् ॥११॥
11. bhaviṣyati dṛḍhaṃ rāmo duḥkhaprāyo'lpasaukhyavān ,
tvāṃ caiva maithilīṃ caiva śatrughnabharatau tathā ,
saṃtyajiṣyati dharmātmā kālena mahatā mahān.
11. bhaviṣyati dṛḍham rāmaḥ duḥkha-prāyaḥ
alpa-saukhya-vān tvām ca eva maithilīm
ca eva śatrughna-bharatau tathā

11. rāmaḥ dṛḍham duḥkha-prāyaḥ alpa-saukhya-vān bhaviṣyati.
mahān dharma-ātmā kālena mahatā tvām ca eva,
maithilīm ca eva,
tathā śatrughna-bharatau ca saṃtyajiṣyati
11. Certainly, Rāma will be one whose life is mostly sorrowful and with little happiness. That great soul (dharmātmā), whose intrinsic nature (dharma) is righteousness, will surely abandon you, and Maithilī, and also Śatrughna and Bharata, after a significant period of time.
