वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-14, verse-11

क्षमया हि समायुक्तं मामयं मकरालयः ।
असमर्थं विजानाति धिक्क्षमामीदृशे जने ॥११॥
11. kṣamayā hi samāyuktaṃ māmayaṃ makarālayaḥ ,
asamarthaṃ vijānāti dhikkṣamāmīdṛśe jane.

asamartham vijānāti dhik kṣamām īdṛśe jane
11. ayam makarālayaḥ kṣamayā samāyuktam mām

11. Indeed, this ocean (makarālaya) considers me, who is endowed with forbearance, to be powerless. Shame upon such forbearance in such circumstances.
