वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-4, verse-7

तन्त्री स्वनाः कर्णसुखाः प्रवृत्ताः स्वपन्ति नार्यः पतिभिः सुवृत्ताः ।
नक्तंचराश्चापि तथा प्रवृत्ता विहर्तुमत्यद्भुतरौद्रवृत्ताः ॥७॥

7. The pleasing sounds of stringed instruments have begun. Chaste women are sleeping with their husbands. And similarly, night-wanderers, whose conduct is exceedingly wondrous and terrifying, have also set out to roam.
