वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-45, verse-7

अथाहं कृतबुद्धिस्तु सुव्यक्तं निहतो गुरुः ।
शिलापर्वतसंकाशा बिलद्वारि मया कृता ।
अशक्नुवन्निष्क्रमितुं महिषो विनशेदिति ॥७॥
7. athāhaṃ kṛtabuddhistu suvyaktaṃ nihato guruḥ ,
śilāparvatasaṃkāśā biladvāri mayā kṛtā ,
aśaknuvanniṣkramituṃ mahiṣo vinaśediti.
7. atha aham kṛtabuddhiḥ tu suvyaktam
nihataḥ guruḥ śilāparvatasaṃkāśā
biladvāri mayā kṛtā aśaknuvan
niṣkramitum mahiṣaḥ vinaśet iti

7. Then I became convinced, 'My elder (guru) must certainly have been killed.' I placed a stone, large as a mountain, at the cave entrance, thinking, 'The buffalo, being unable to exit, will perish.'
