जनस्थाननिमित्तं हि कृतवैरो ऽस्मि राक्षसैः ।
निमित्तानि च घोराणि दृश्यन्ते ऽद्य बहूनि च ॥९॥

9. api svasti bhaveddvābhyāṃ rahitābhyāṃ mayā vane ,
janasthānanimittaṃ hi kṛtavairo'smi rākṣasaiḥ ,
nimittāni ca ghorāṇi dṛśyante'dya bahūni ca.

I wonder if all is well with the two (Sītā and Lakṣmaṇa) whom I left behind in the forest. Indeed, because of the events in Janasthana, I have incurred the enmity of the Rākṣasas. Moreover, many dreadful omens are appearing today.
