वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-42, verse-20

तत्र रामं भयं तीव्रमाविवेश विषादजम् ।
राक्षसं मृगरूपं तं हत्वा श्रुत्वा च तत् स्वरम् ॥२०॥
20. tatra rāmaṃ bhayaṃ tīvramāviveśa viṣādajam ,
rākṣasaṃ mṛgarūpaṃ taṃ hatvā śrutvā ca tat svaram.
