वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-42, verse-18

हा सीते लक्ष्मणेत्येवमाक्रुश्य तु महास्वरम् ।
ममार राक्षसः सो ऽयं श्रुत्वा सीता कथं भवेत् ॥१८॥
18. hā sīte lakṣmaṇetyevamākruśya tu mahāsvaram ,
mamāra rākṣasaḥ so'yaṃ śrutvā sītā kathaṃ bhavet.
18. hā sīte lakṣmaṇa iti evam ākruśya tu mahāsvaram
mamāra rākṣasaḥ saḥ ayam śrutvā sīṭā katham bhavet
18. hā sīte lakṣmaṇa iti evam mahāsvaram ākruśya tu
saḥ ayam rākṣasaḥ mamāra sīṭā śrutvā katham bhavet
18. 'Ah, Sītā! Lakṣmaṇa!'—having cried out loudly in this manner, that demon died. (Rāma thinks:) 'Having heard this cry, what will become of Sītā?'
