वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-21, verse-7

तथा निगदितं मात्रा तद्वाक्यं पुरुषर्षभः ।
श्रुत्वा रामो ऽब्रवीद्वाक्यं मातरं भृशदुःखिताम् ॥७॥
7. tathā nigaditaṃ mātrā tadvākyaṃ puruṣarṣabhaḥ ,
śrutvā rāmo'bravīdvākyaṃ mātaraṃ bhṛśaduḥkhitām.
7. tathā nigaditam mātrā tat vākyam puruṣarṣabhaḥ
śrutvā rāmaḥ abravīt vākyam mātaram bhṛśaduḥkhitām
7. mātrā tathā tat vākyam nigaditam puruṣarṣabhaḥ
rāmaḥ śrutvā bhṛśaduḥkhitām mātaram vākyam abravīt
7. When the mother had thus spoken those words, Rama, the best among men (puruṣarṣabha), having heard them, addressed his greatly distressed mother.
