दृष्टवीर्यस्तु काकुत्स्थो जनकेन महात्मना ।
संप्रदानं सुतायास्तु राघवे कर्तुमिच्छति ॥१६॥

16. dṛṣṭavīryastu kākutstho janakena mahātmanā ,
saṃpradānaṃ sutāyāstu rāghave kartumicchati.

16. However, the great-souled (ātman) Janaka, having witnessed the valor of Rāma (Kākutstha), wishes to bestow his daughter upon Rāghava.
