वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-67, verse-10

अस्मै देया मया सीता वीर्यशुल्का महात्मने ।
प्रतिज्ञां तर्तुमिच्छामि तदनुज्ञातुमर्हसि ॥१०॥
10. asmai deyā mayā sītā vīryaśulkā mahātmane ,
pratijñāṃ tartumicchāmi tadanujñātumarhasi.

10. māyā sītā vīryaśulkā asmai mahātmane deyā.

10. To this great-souled (mahātman) one, Sītā, whose marriage fee (śulka) is valor (vīrya), should be given by me. I wish to fulfill my vow, therefore you ought to permit that.
