बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-90, verse-5

तदर्धं च तिलैः कुर्याद्राशिं च द्विजसत्तम ।
पृथक् त्रितयराशौ तु लिखेदष्टदलं बुधैः ॥५॥
5. tadardhaṃ ca tilaiḥ kuryādrāśiṃ ca dvijasattama .
pṛthak tritayarāśau tu likhedaṣṭadalaṃ budhaiḥ.
5. tat ardham ca tilaiḥ kuryāt rāśim ca dvijasattama
pṛthak tritayarāśau tu likhet aṣṭadalam budhaiḥ
5. ca dvijasattama! tat ardham ca tilaiḥ rāśim kuryāt
tu budhaiḥ pṛthak tritayarāśau aṣṭadalam likhet
5. And, O best among the twice-born (dvija), one should also make a heap of half that quantity with sesame seeds (tila). Then, separately, on each of the three heaps, the wise should draw an eight-petaled (aṣṭadala) design.
