महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-148, verse-9

यदा नाद्रियते वाक्यं सामपूर्वं सुयोधनः ।
तदा मया समानीय भेदिताः सर्वपार्थिवाः ॥९॥
9. yadā nādriyate vākyaṁ sāmapūrvaṁ suyodhanaḥ ,
tadā mayā samānīya bheditāḥ sarvapārthivāḥ.
9. yadā na ādriyate vākyam sāma-pūrvam suyodhanaḥ
tadā mayā samānīya bheditāḥ sarva-pārthivāḥ
9. yadā suyodhanaḥ sāma-pūrvam vākyam na ādriyate,
tadā mayā samānīya sarva-pārthivāḥ bheditāḥ.
9. When Suyodhana disregarded the words that began with conciliation (sāma), then I gathered all the kings and caused division (bheda) among them.
