महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-106, verse-4

यस्यां पूर्वं मतिर्जाता यया व्याप्तमिदं जगत् ।
चक्षुषी यत्र धर्मस्य यत्र चैष प्रतिष्ठितः ॥४॥
4. yasyāṁ pūrvaṁ matirjātā yayā vyāptamidaṁ jagat ,
cakṣuṣī yatra dharmasya yatra caiṣa pratiṣṭhitaḥ.
4. yasyām pūrvam matiḥ jātā yayā vyāptam idam jagat |
cakṣuṣī yatra dharmasya yatra ca eṣaḥ pratiṣṭhitaḥ
4. (Tell me that direction) "in which wisdom (mati) first arose, by which this universe (jagat) is pervaded. It is where the two eyes of natural law (dharma) are, and where natural law (dharma) itself is established."
