Bhīṣma and Droṇa, who are great warriors (atirathas), along with Kṛpa and the invincible Droṇi, were chosen by Dhṛtarāṣṭra's son for battle. All of these mighty individuals are learned in the Vedas, are brave heroes, and are also skilled in the use of weapons.
