महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-26, verse-11

नृपाश्च नाभागभगीरथादयो महीमिमां सागरान्तां विजित्य ।
सत्येन तेऽप्यजयंस्तात लोकान्नेशे बलस्येति चरेदधर्मम् ॥११॥
11. nṛpāśca nābhāgabhagīrathādayo; mahīmimāṁ sāgarāntāṁ vijitya ,
satyena te'pyajayaṁstāta lokā;nneśe balasyeti caredadharmam.
11. nṛpāḥ ca nābhāgabhagīrathādayaḥ
mahīm imām sāgarāntām vijitya
satyena te api ajayan tāta lokān na
īśe balasya iti caret adharmam
11. And kings like Nābhāga and Bhagīratha, having conquered this earth up to the oceans, dear one, they also conquered worlds through truth, embodying the principle that one should not resort to unrighteousness (adharma) by saying, 'I am not master of my power (bala).'
