महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-248, verse-4

ततस्ते यौगपद्येन ययुः सर्वे चतुर्दिशम् ।
मृगयां पुरुषव्याघ्रा ब्राह्मणार्थे परंतपाः ॥४॥
4. tataste yaugapadyena yayuḥ sarve caturdiśam ,
mṛgayāṁ puruṣavyāghrā brāhmaṇārthe paraṁtapāḥ.

mṛgayām puruṣavyāghrāḥ brāhmaṇārthe paraṃtapāḥ
4. Then all of them, those tigers among men and tormentors of enemies, went simultaneously in all four directions for hunting, for the sake of the brahmins.
