महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-143, verse-9

न चापश्यन्त तेऽन्योन्यं तमसा हतचक्षुषः ।
आकृष्यमाणा वातेन साश्मचूर्णेन भारत ॥९॥
9. na cāpaśyanta te'nyonyaṁ tamasā hatacakṣuṣaḥ ,
ākṛṣyamāṇā vātena sāśmacūrṇena bhārata.
9. na ca apaśyanta te anyonyam tamasā hata-cakṣuṣaḥ
ākṛṣyamāṇāḥ vātena sāśmacūrṇena bhārata
9. O Bhārata, their eyes were blinded by darkness, so they could not see each other, as they were dragged by a wind carrying stone-dust.
