महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-127, verse-3

स वै यत्नेन महता तासु पुत्रं महीपतिः ।
कंचिन्नासादयामास कालेन महता अपि ॥३॥
3. sa vai yatnena mahatā tāsu putraṁ mahīpatiḥ ,
kaṁcinnāsādayāmāsa kālena mahatā api.

3. Despite his great efforts, that king could not obtain any son from his wives, even after a long time.
