महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-127, verse-13

इदं भार्याशतं ब्रह्मन्परीक्ष्योपचितं प्रभो ।
पुत्रार्थिना मया वोढं न चासां विद्यते प्रजा ॥१३॥
13. idaṁ bhāryāśataṁ brahmanparīkṣyopacitaṁ prabho ,
putrārthinā mayā voḍhaṁ na cāsāṁ vidyate prajā.
13. idam bhāryāśatam brahman parīkṣya upacitam prabho
putrārthinā mayā voḍham na ca āsām vidyate prajā
13. O Brāhmaṇa, O Lord, I, desirous of a son, married these hundred wives, whom I had carefully chosen and acquired. Yet, among them, there is no offspring.
