महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-55, verse-9

काकेनेमांश्चित्रबर्हाञ्शार्दूलान्क्रोष्टुकेन च ।
क्रीणीष्व पाण्डवान्राजन्मा मज्जीः शोकसागरे ॥९॥
9. kākenemāṁścitrabarhāñśārdūlānkroṣṭukena ca ,
krīṇīṣva pāṇḍavānrājanmā majjīḥ śokasāgare.
9. kākena imān citrabarhān śārdūlān kroṣṭukena ca
krīṇīṣva pāṇḍavān rājan mā majjīḥ śokasāgare
9. O King, do not try to purchase these beautifully feathered peacocks (citrabarhān) and tigers (śārdūlān) with a crow and a jackal. Do not abandon the Pandavas and thereby plunge into an ocean of sorrow (śokasāgare).
