महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-15, chapter-13, verse-20

मम त्वन्धस्य वृद्धस्य हतपुत्रस्य का गतिः ।
ऋते वनं महाभागास्तन्मानुज्ञातुमर्हथ ॥२०॥
20. mama tvandhasya vṛddhasya hataputrasya kā gatiḥ ,
ṛte vanaṁ mahābhāgāstanmānujñātumarhatha.
20. mama tu andhasya vṛddhasya hataputrasya kā gatiḥ
ṛte vanam mahābhāgāḥ tat mā anujñātum arhatha
20. mahābhāgāḥ,
andhasya vṛddhasya hataputrasya mama tu ṛte vanam kā gatiḥ? tat mā anujñātum arhatha
20. Indeed, what future remains for me, who am blind, aged, and whose sons have been slain, other than the forest? Therefore, O noble ones, you ought to grant me permission.
