महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-79, verse-14

नापराधोऽस्ति सुभगे नराणां बहुभार्यता ।
नारीणां तु भवत्येतन्मा ते भूद्बुद्धिरीदृशी ॥१४॥
14. nāparādho'sti subhage narāṇāṁ bahubhāryatā ,
nārīṇāṁ tu bhavatyetanmā te bhūdbuddhirīdṛśī.
14. na aparādhaḥ asti subhage narāṇām bahubhāryatā
nārīṇām tu bhavati etat mā te bhūt buddhiḥ īdṛśī
14. subhage narāṇām bahubhāryatā na aparādhaḥ asti

14. O fortunate lady, there is no offense in men having multiple wives. However, for women, this is the case. May such a thought not arise in your mind.
