पूजयेथा यायजूकांस्तवाप्यंशो भवेद्यथा ॥९॥

You should consider your true self (ātman) to have performed Vedic rituals (iṣṭa) and given gifts (dāna) by the very act of giving (dānakarma). You should honor those who constantly perform Vedic rituals so that a share of their merit may also become yours.
