महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-21, verse-14

अष्टावक्र उवाच ।
हरन्ति दोषजातानि नरं जातं यथेच्छकम् ।
प्रभवामि सदा धृत्या भद्रे स्वं शयनं व्रज ॥१४॥
14. aṣṭāvakra uvāca ,
haranti doṣajātāni naraṁ jātaṁ yathecchakam ,
prabhavāmi sadā dhṛtyā bhadre svaṁ śayanaṁ vraja.

14. Aṣṭāvakra said: "The multitude of faults carries away a man who is born following his desires. O good lady, I am always firm through my resolve (dhṛti); go to your own bed."
