तिष्ठेयुरप्यभुञ्जाना बहूनि दिवसान्यपि ।
शोषयेयुश्च गात्राणि स्वाध्यायैः संयतेन्द्रियाः ॥१५॥

15. They could remain without food for many days, and with their senses controlled, they might emaciate their bodies through the diligent study of sacred texts (svādhyāya).
