महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-123, verse-12

पूजिताः पूजयन्त्येतान्मानिता मानयन्ति च ।
अदाता यत्र यत्रैति सर्वतः संप्रणुद्यते ॥१२॥
12. pūjitāḥ pūjayantyetānmānitā mānayanti ca ,
adātā yatra yatraiti sarvataḥ saṁpraṇudyate.

12. Those who are honored (by others) honor these (givers); and those who are respected, respect them. But a non-giver, wherever he goes, is rejected from all sides.
