महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-123, verse-10

सर्वे पूज्याः श्रुतधनास्तथैव च तपस्विनः ।
दानप्रदाः सुखं प्रेत्य प्राप्नुवन्तीह च श्रियम् ॥१०॥

10. All those who are revered, whose wealth is sacred knowledge, as well as ascetics (tapasvinah) and givers of charity, attain happiness after death and prosperity in this world.
