रूपमानवयोमानश्रीमानाश्चाप्यसंशयम् ।
दिष्ट्या नाभिभवन्ति त्वां दैवस्तेऽयमनुग्रहः ।
यत्ते भृशतरं दानाद्वर्तयिष्यामि तच्छृणु ॥२॥

2. rūpamānavayomānaśrīmānāścāpyasaṁśayam ,
diṣṭyā nābhibhavanti tvāṁ daivaste'yamanugrahaḥ ,
yatte bhṛśataraṁ dānādvartayiṣyāmi tacchṛṇu.

rūpamānavayomānaśrīmānāḥ ca api
asaṃśayam diṣṭyā na abhibhavanti tvām
daivaḥ te ayam anugrahaḥ yat te
bhṛśataram dānāt vartayiṣyāmi tat śṛṇu

Those endowed with beauty, honor, youth, self-respect, and prosperity, certainly, without a doubt, do not overpower you. This is indeed a divine favor (anugraha) to you. Now listen to what I shall bestow upon you, which is far greater than any act of charity (dāna).
