महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-333, verse-18

त्रयो मूर्तिविहीना वै पिण्डमूर्तिधरास्त्विमे ।
भवन्तु पितरो लोके मया सृष्टाः सनातनाः ॥१८॥
18. trayo mūrtivihīnā vai piṇḍamūrtidharāstvime ,
bhavantu pitaro loke mayā sṛṣṭāḥ sanātanāḥ.

18. These three, indeed formless but bearing the form of symbolic lumps, shall be the eternal ancestors (pitṛs) in the world, created by me.
