जनमेजय उवाच ।
यथा चेदं कर्म समाप्यते मे यथा च नस्तक्षक एति शीघ्रम् ।
तथा भवन्तः प्रयतन्तु सर्वे परं शक्त्या स हि मे विद्विषाणः ॥४॥

4. janamejaya uvāca ,
yathā cedaṁ karma samāpyate me; yathā ca nastakṣaka eti śīghram ,
tathā bhavantaḥ prayatantu sarve; paraṁ śaktyā sa hi me vidviṣāṇaḥ.

Janamejaya said: "Just as this ritual is to be completed for me, and just as Takṣaka is to come quickly to us, so all of you should exert yourselves with your utmost power. For he is my enemy."
