महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-173, verse-18

तस्मात्त्वमपि दुर्बुद्धे मच्छापपरिविक्षतः ।
पत्नीमृतावनुप्राप्य सद्यस्त्यक्ष्यसि जीवितम् ॥१८॥
18. tasmāttvamapi durbuddhe macchāpaparivikṣataḥ ,
patnīmṛtāvanuprāpya sadyastyakṣyasi jīvitam.
18. tasmāt tvam api dur-buddhe mat-śāpa-parivikṣataḥ
patnī-mṛtau anuprāpya sadyaḥ tyakṣyasi jīvitam
18. Therefore, O foolish one, wounded by my curse, you too shall immediately abandon your life upon your wife's death.
