योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-98, verse-24

न सज्जनाद्दूरतरः क्वचिद्भवेद्भजेत साधून्विनयक्रियान्वितः ।
स्पृशन्त्ययत्नेन हि तत्समीपगं विसारिणस्तद्गतपुष्परेणवः ॥ २४ ॥
na sajjanāddūrataraḥ kvacidbhavedbhajeta sādhūnvinayakriyānvitaḥ ,
spṛśantyayatnena hi tatsamīpagaṃ visāriṇastadgatapuṣpareṇavaḥ 24
24. na sajjanāt dūrataraḥ kvacit bhavet
bhajeta sādhūn vinayakriyānvitaḥ

24. One should never be far from virtuous people. Rather, with humility and right conduct, one should associate with the wise. For just as the spreading pollen from flowers near them effortlessly touches those who come into their proximity, so too does their positive influence spread.
